And all those years, I suffered over love
because I didn’t let love just be.
I demanded a result.

A return.
Love became risky.
And most importantly, I had forgotten that love is not something to have—
it is who I am, in my very nature.
I remember seeing women—
all ages, all sizes—

They glowed.
They moved with something ancient and alive.

I used to wonder:
How do they do that? Were they born that way?
They were like magical beings to me.

Because I knew how far away I was from being like them.
The belief that love was limited kept me attracting partners
who mirrored that very belief back to me.

And that mirror would always, inevitably, shatter.

Not until I looked into that mirror and faced my own sadness.
The sadness of not loving myself.
Shit.
I had to surrender.
I was angry. And I was humbled.
I had avoided this moment all my life.
I didn’t know what surrender meant
until I was on the floor, on my knees, begging God
to release me from this endless cycle of self-abandonment.
I died there. Somatically.
And I found something in the dying.
“It’s not your job to love me. It’s mine.”
This became my mantra.
Anytime my mind wandered outward to blame or pine or judge—
I came back to this truth.
And it didn’t just support me.
It gave me joy.
Ecstatic joy.
Because even when I couldn’t love myself—
I still loved truth.
And that… that set me free.

Is this retreat only for women?

Will there be any plant medicine or nudity?
This is a sober retreat. All practices are consent-based, clothed, and trauma-informed.

Is this retreat religious?
It is holy, not religious. All faiths and paths are welcome. Our devotion is to Love itself.

Will I have any private time, or is everything done in a group?
Both. You’ll experience beautiful group moments and also have spacious private time for reflection, journaling, or simply soaking in the nature around you.
What if I’m not very spiritual?
No problem. This is about coming home to yourself, not adopting a belief system. You’ll be guided with practices that are gentle, grounding, and universally nourishing — no dogma, only devotion.
What if I’m not comfortable being in my body… dancing… doing rituals?

What if I have dietary needs?
We’ve got you. Meals will be nourishing, fresh, and adaptable to common preferences (vegan, gluten-free, etc.). After you register, you’ll fill out a form to let us know your needs — and you’ll be well fed in every way.

I married myself above the clouds on the top of Haleakala, Maui at sunrise in 2008. The air was cold and the light was divine. I had one witness. I was on a solo journey, driving around the island in an old, funky rental car. I had purchased a beautiful trinity ring in Paia a few days earlier. This was a profound experience for me and it changed me. This solo ritual was a crucial step in my spiritual evolution. And now I want to offer this opportunity to you.
